Staying Up There

The reason I didn't write last week was because I was in Atlanta, GA and was actually supposed to visit a mega-church down there to observe how they do "church" particularly their tech areas.  However, it was closed due to "winter weather" so, I have to reschedule with them.

Anyway, I am just so amazed at what God has been doing in our church.  Have I said that yet?  It just seems that every week there are people that I have never seen before.  Most likely that is the case!  We have been staying over 150 for the last several weeks.  It took us what seemed like forever to get up to 100, then to 150.  But the Lord has definitely allowed our church to grow.  New people are getting involved in ministries everywhere and our church is starting to function like a well-oiled machine--well starting. We still have a couple kinks, but that is bound to happen.

Next week, we have our first youth retreat.  Please pray for that.  I will be gone next week so I will probably write an update on Monday when I get back.

Thank you so much for your prayers.  The Lord has been doing a lot for us at our church and I have been able to witness amazing growth, not only in numbers but in the people in our church.  This is a wonderful experience and growing opportunity and I am just so thankful right now to be in this situation.

We are almost one year old and God has done so much in that short time!

200+!

Hey Everyone!
Today was amazing!  Our record attendance until this point has been 149.  We have been itching to bump that up at least one person to make it an even 150.  However, today we had a shocking turnout of 209 people!  It was amazing. The whole atmosphere was great!  Not only did the significant amount of people make a difference, but so did having Phillip lead our worship again.  The Lord has blessed us by sending Phillip our way.  I am extremely excited to see how God is going to use him.

I know last week I said I was going to upload photos and stuff from youth group.  Sorry I never got around to it.  I will someday soon.  Finals are this week so I probably won't this week.

Also, our youth group is having its first winter retreat--well not really a retreat just a ski trip.  We will be skiing obviously, as well as tubing and snowboarding.  Pretty much the whole youth group has signed up.  So that will be exciting.  The dates for that are the first couple days in February.

  Please Pray:
This week we will be sending out approximately 21,000
post cards to surrounding homes. We are trusting that
the Lord will use them to bring people to our church or
lead them to a church where they are able to hear the
Gospel Message.

Other than that, nothing really new!  Have an awesome week.

Awesome!

Hey Everyone,
Today was an AWESOME Sunday.  Phillip did an awesome job leading worship despite the fact he had a sinus infection!  We had several new families which is really encouraging!  At the end of this week we will be sending out near 20,000 postcards to families within a couple miles of our church!  Please pray that these cards will spark interest with people and they will want to come to church whether it be with us or with another local church.

Speaking of advertising, tt was really cool, we had a guy come today who is moving down to the area because of a job all because his wife sent him on 2 missions: 1st, find a house; 2nd, to find a church.  While he was driving to find a house, he saw a sign for our church so he pulled in!  I thought that was cool and you guys might want to see how the Lord uses random things to draw people to our church!

I will be posting pictures of our student Bible study tonight!

Thanks for your prayers.  Have an awesome week.

New Worship Pastor

Hey Guys!
I just got back from a meeting with Phillip Cox, our new worship pastor!  It was great being able to talk to him about his ideas for now and for the future.  I am so excited that he is able to be a part of our church!  He is a great guy with an incredible heart.  I can't even begin to describe what a blessing he will be to our church!

Thanks for your prayers for a worship pastor--God answered them!
